The minute we log on, open up, or put ourselves out there dating in any sense of the term we are going to experience some reaction. Whether we get rejected time and again, whether we cull plenty of partners to our side or whether we enjoy even some good causal humping, once we start on that slippery slope of slipping into dating we can damn well be assured we are going to see some reaction.
Single people are getting-up one dating sites looking for dates… obviously. But how many men and women coddle the belief that they might actually find their soul-mate, and furthermore, how many believe they can actually fall in love with someone, and be loved back, via a dating site?
Has our understanding of the world through our digital explorations increased our sensibilities to such an acute edge that we can actually sense someone’s whole being just from meeting websites with them…through chat, emailing, looking at their profile pics, even camming? And therefore if we can know a person this well, couldn’t we fall in love with them? Couldn’t the pieces, hints and facts we gather from a dating site be enough for any of us to make a full assessment of someone and see us fall in love with them?
